1. Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival
Enjoy the sight of multicoloured hot air balloons flying over Ottawa and Gatineau. They’re visible from Ottawa and Gatineau’s shoreline. Flights are every day during the festival (except Wed AM) at around 6:30am and 6:30pm, weather dependent. You can even purchase a ride! There is also an amusement park (opens Aug 28 at 5pm) and concerts on the festival grounds. Tickets: $49.99, $54.99. Children 10 and under free.
