1. Public Skating at Rideau Hall
The historic skating rink at Rideau Hall, which dates back 1872, will be open to the public from this Saturday Jan 14, every weekend until March 5. FREE. No reservation required. No parking. Parking allowed in the adjacent streets.
When: Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 5pm. (weather permitting)
2. Ottawa Festival of Carols
A 1.5-hour evening of traditional Ukrainian carols. Ukrainian artists from Ottawa area will perform classical, contemporary, sacred and folk choral Ukrainian music. PAID. Tickets $15 and $25

3. Musical Evenings at Casino Lac Leamy
Bar 7 at Casino Lac Leamy is launching musical evenings with a multimedia screen and live performances from Thursdays to Saturdays. FREE.

4. 67’s vs Hamilton Bulldogs
Ottawa’s junior hockey team, the 67’s, battles against the Hamilton Bulldogs in this game of the Ontario Hockey League. It will also be celebrating 55 years of the 67’s with a nostalgic Legacy Night. Tickets from $20 including taxes.

5. Farmer’s Winter Market
The Farmer’s market is back for the winter season every Sunday until April 30. Fresh vegetables and fruit, meat, baked goods, spirits, crafts and more. FREE.

6. Ice skating at the Rink of Dreams
Grab your skates and head to the most popular ice-skating rink in Ottawa for some winter fun! FREE. You can rent skates there!

7. Public skating at Lansdowne skating rink
This refrigerated outdoor skating rink is open everyday from 7:00am to 11:00pm. FREE. No rentals, bring your own skates! At Lansdowne park, Princess Patricia Way, Ottawa.
8. Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel
An exhibition that showcases the wonders of the Sistine Chapel. It has been reproduced in a unique way using licensed high-definition photos. From Dec 9 to Jan 23 at EY Centre, 4999 Uplands Drive. Tickets: $20-$26
