1. Taco and Beer Festival
This is the second edition of this event where you can enjoy a fun filled day or night of beer, cider and spirits sampling, games, dancing and tacos! Tickets $17, $23. SOLD OUT.

2. PWHL Ottawa Games

8. Harpsparks Festival
HarpSparks is a new creative initiative. In its inaugural season 2024, come explore the harp in an expanded way through works with electronics and voice, improvisation, and a rare performance of Freude for two amplified harps and voice by Karlheinz Stockhausen. There will be a Harp masterclass by Emily Levin, an improvisation workshop, and a show. March 2-3 at Club SAW, 67 Nicholas St.

15. Le Vice-Consul
March is Francophonie Month, and to celebrate it the Alliances Françaises of Canada will present a play adapted from Marguerite Duras’s novel. Set in India in the 1930s, it portrays a world of French diplomacy. The Vice-Consul, far from home and in the middle of widespread horror, commits an unspeakable act.

16. Vanier Sugar Shack
Less than 5 km from downtown Ottawa, the Vanier Sugar Shack is the only operating sugar shack in an urban setting in North America. Located in a 17.5-acre sugar bush in the heart of the nation’s capital, the Vanier Museopark keeps the tradition of maple syrup production alive, a tradition established in Vanier by the White Fathers circa 1940. 17. Sugar Bush at the Log Farm
Come out to the farm to experience sugarbush 2024. This once-a-year Canadian tradition doesn’t last long as winter gently eases into spring. Take a wagon ride out to the sugarbush to see how maple syrup is made. Then take a walk through the trails of the sugar maples and taste some sweet taffy on the snow. PAID. 18. Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm
Enjoy the Heritage Sugar Shack Tour, which dates the original sugaring process on the farm back to the late 1800’s. The system is in use today! Self guided Museum tour, which includes original artifacts and tools from the establishment of the farm from the 1800’s. Animal Barn – there are many new babies arriving just in time for spring! 19. Maple Fest
Short and sweet, sugar bush season is our favourite time of the year. Winters in Ottawa can be a little long, but we know that once the sugar shack fire is burning nice and hot, our favourite people and a new growing season aren’t far behind. PAID. March 3-April 14.
