1. Byward Beerfest 2024

Enjoy two days of the best craft beers in town, delicious food and live entertainment. +19 event.

2. Capital Sessions

Free workshops on house dance. Learn basic house-dance steps from some serious dancers, soundtracked by DOPE DJS. No experience required. FREE.

3. Youth Infringement Festival

This is an open access performing arts festival for Ottawa youth ages 16 to 25 to develop and produce original work. Tickets from $5. It’s “Pay what you can”.

4. Pique Spring edition

Three days’ worth of groundbreaking art, performances, and workshops by international and Canadian artists. Hosted in the Arts Court across multiple stages and exhibition spaces. Tickets from $31.59.
When: March 8-10

5. 613 Flea

Shop from over 150 vendors with a great variety of products like jewelry, woodwork, antiques, soap, candles, clothing, food, and much more. Well-socialized dogs are allowed. FREE.

6. Art Battle Ottawa

Twelve artists will compete creating from scratch a painting in three rounds. The public will choose the winner. Good music, drinks and snacks. Tickets $23, $29, $35 at the door.
When: Friday March 8. Doors open at 7pm. Painting starts at 8pm.

7. Ottawa Irish Arts St Patrick’s Ceili

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a fun event, suitable for all ages. Dance, eat, listen to great music, be entertained by special guests, and have the chance to win some lovely door prizes. $15, $20. SOLD OUT.

9. Disney On Ice. Into the Magic

Seek adventure in the great wide somewhere with Belle as she explores the Beast’s enchanted castle, experience Moana’s courage to embark on a voyage with demigod Maui to save her island, and sing-along with Miguel from Coco as he follows the music in his heart. Wall Space Gallery invites you to celebrate International Women’s Day with Threading
the Needle, featuring artworks by Elizabeth D’Agostino, Gosia, Noelle Hamlyn, Kelly

12. Steel Magnolias

This hysterical, heart-warming, and iconic play follows the trials and tribulations of six

13. Two Orchestras, One Symphonie

The National Arts Centre Orchestra joins forces with the Orchestre symphonique de
Québec (OSQ), the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, and sensational guest pianist Kevin
Chen for the final stop on a multi-city tour. PAID. March 7-8, 8pm. Southam Hall, 1 Elgin Street.

14. Little Shop of Horrors

Join Seymour, a clerk in a New York City plant store, as he stumbles upon a peculiar plant
with a taste for blood rather than sunlight and soil. This cautionary tale weaves themes

15. Cuban Jazz Night

16. Live 2000’s

17. Ramadan Expo 2024 at La Cité

18. Viernes de película (Friday movie night)

19. Le Vice-Consul

March is Francophonie Month, and to celebrate it the Alliances Françaises of Canada will present a play adapted from Marguerite Duras’s novel. Set in India in the 1930s, it portrays a world of French diplomacy. The Vice-Consul, far from home and in the middle of widespread horror, commits an unspeakable act.

In French with English subtitles. Tickets: 15$ / 10$ for our members. Thursday March 21 at 7pm at Lycée Claudel, 1635 Lycée Place, Ottawa.

Sugar Shack Season

Enjoy this Canadian tradition visiting the farms producing Maple syrup. Learn about the process and enjoy tasty meals based on this beloved product. Here is a list of farms where you can experience a Sugar Shack.

20. Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm

Enjoy the Heritage Sugar Shack Tour, which dates the original sugaring process on the farm back to the late 1800’s. The system is in use today! Self guided Museum tour, which includes original artifacts and tools from the establishment of the farm from the 1800’s. Animal Barn – there are many new babies arriving just in time for spring! 21. Maple Fest

Short and sweet, sugar bush season is our favourite time of the year. Winters in Ottawa can be a little long, but we know that once the sugar shack fire is burning nice and hot, our favourite people and a new growing season aren’t far behind. PAID. March 3-April 14.
