1. Ottawa Grassroots Festival
This will be the 11th edition of this festival, run entirely by volunteers, which aims at cultivating community. There will be evening paid concerts, and daytime live free performances, a kid’s zone, and workshops for babies, toddlers and youth performers.

2. Earth Day
Celebrate Earth Day at the Canadian Museum of History, which is offering free admission. Roam all the museum’s galleries including the special exhibitions like the newest: Wolves! Shapeshifters in a Changing World. Book your spot in advance.

3. National Tartan Day
The Sons of Scotland Pipe Band invites you to join them at Parliament Hill to celebrate Scottish heritage and National Tartan Day. Enjoy an hour of piping, drumming, and highland and step dancing. FREE.

4. Mac Eid Festival
The Muslim Association of Canada invites you to celebrate Eid with a remarkable event for the whole family. There will be a bazaar, ethnic food, games and shows. Tickets: $5 person (ages +3)

5. Children Festival
This is a fundraiser for those affected by the earthquakes in Türkiye. There will be entertainment for the kiddos: face painting, arts and crafts, bake sale, professional photoshoots, fortune telling and a silent auction. FREE. Sunday Apr 23 from 10am to 4pm at the City Hall, 110 Laurier Ave W.

6. 67`s vs Peterborough Petes.
Playoffs. Ottawa 67’s have advanced to Round 2 in the race for J. Ross Robertson Cup. Game 5 and 7 will be played only if needed.

7. Ottawa Cottage Life & Backyard Show

8. Ontario Welsh Festival
A celebration of all things Welsh. The highlight of the festival will be a concert at the magnificent Christ Church Cathedral Ottawa featuring renowned baritones John Ieuan Jones and Steffan Lloyd Owen, soprano Eiry Price, and accompanist Rhiannon Pritchard. 9. Eid Celebration

11. The 10th Doll Show and Sale
Annual exhibition of dolls, teddy bears, miniatures and collectibles from Barbie, Integrity toys, baby dolls, antique dolls, American Girl, Maplelea Dolls, other 18″ dolls, porcelain and dolls from around the world. 12. Volunteer Ottawa Expo

15. Fibre Fling 2023

16. Med Show 2023: Romeo and Juliet

17. Show Tune Showdown 2023
It`s a musical theatre show and team competition in which three teams of four singers from different arts organizations sing a selection of Broadway or off-Broadway show tunes in front of three local celebrity judges. All of the profits will support queer choir Tone Cluster with its season of concerts, community and festival appearances. Saturday Apr 22 at 7:30pm. Tickets: $35. 18. Musical Evenings at Casino Lac Leamy
Bar 7 at Casino Lac Leamy offers its musical evenings with a multimedia screen, and live performances, from Thursdays to Saturdays. FREE.

19. Arboretum Hill Club Workout

21. Wolves!: Shapeshifters in a changing world

23. Exhibition: Uramado AR, the awakening of the Tanukis
Uramado is a treasure hunt route in augmented reality. It tells the story of Tanukis which are spirits of the forest from Japanese mythology. The participants are invited to download the free app Uramado AR, Tanukis awake ( on IOS and Android ) to start this treasure hunt. FREE.
