1. Ottawa Asian Festival Night Market

Featuring some of the very best in Asian culture, performers, and street food. The Asian Fest is coming back to Sparks St! FREE.

3. Ottawa Chamberfest

This is an internationally acclaimed chamber music festival that will celebrate 30 years of growth and evolution. It offers a wide variety of chamber music and concerts in different locations for two weeks.

4. Brew Fest Ottawa

Eight days of music, good food and the best beers in Quebec. There will be a giant pool, a Ferris wheel, a speakeasy, and much more! Tickets: $19,95 and $26,95.

5. Mango Caribbean Food & Music Fest

6. Carivibe Reach The Beach

8. Kite Fest

Get ready for a day filled with high-flying fun, music, food, and a lot of Masti and Dhamal. Presented by the Gujarati Cultural Association of Ottawa. Admission is $20-$30. Saturday, July 22nd from 9am to 1pm. At the RBC Festival Site, Wesley Clover Parks, 401 Corkstown Rd.

9. City Sounds

Outdoor musical performances in different locations all throughout Ottawa. FREE.

10. Ottawa Blackjacks vs Niagara River Lions

Cheer on Ottawa’s basketball team on this home game against Niagara River Lions. Thursday July 20 at 7:30pm at TD Place, 1015 Bank St.

11. Feeling of Free. NAC Summer Programming 2023

  • THE LIONYLS: a four-piece Rock & Soul band based in Ottawa will jump on a boat and sail the canal to and from Dow’s Lake playing their music drawing upon the traditions of rhythm & blues, funk, soul and rock & roll. Thursday July 20 at 6:30pm. FREE.
  • LATIN FIESTA WITH MIGUEL DE ARMAS & FRIENDS:
    Cuban pianista Miguel de Armas joined by five local musicians, will bring a spicy Latin Fiesta, including salsa, merengue, and many other Latin hit songs, from a boat all along the canal. Saturday July 22 at 4:30pm. FREE.

12. Britannia Village Community Art Crawl

Buy from local artists while enjoying the talent of local musicians. FREE. Saturday July 22 from 1pm-4pm. At Britannia Village.

13. Dog Daze Festival

Market, music and activities such as agility fun runs, whipped cream eating contest, first aid workshop, training sessions and more. $10 tickets online, $15 at the door. Half of the event profits will go to Eastern Ontario Potcake Rescue. Sunday July 23 from 11am-5pm. At 9401 Kyle Road, North Augusta.

14. The “Cultural Threads” Art Exhibition

Visit this exhibition that celebrates the beauty of diversity and the universal language of art by Iranian artists. Sunday July 23 from 12pm to 5pm. At Jean Pigott Place, Ottawa City Hall, 110 Laurier Ave W.

15. Art Exhibition

Come visit a new art exhibition which showcases a collection of artworks by local Ottawa artist Mahmud Siamansury, inspired by his life in Canada and his identity as a Kurd. FREE. Every day from July 18-July 31, 10 am-5 pm. Saint Brigid’s Centre for the Arts, 310 St. Patrick St.

16. Orgullosamente hecho en Colombia (Proudly made in Colombia)

The Colombian community will celebrate their Independence Day with tasty food, crafts, and cultural exhibitions. Sunday July 23 from 10am to 6pm at Strathcona Park, 25 Range Rd, Sandy Hill.

18. Pressure. James Cameron into the abyss

19. 2023 Coin Exchange

Participate in a coin exchange where you’ll have the opportunity to add the 2023 $2 National Indigenous Peoples Day commemorative circulation coin to your collection. FREE. 20. Salsa at City Hall

This popular event takes place every Wednesday on the Rink of Dreams or inside City Hall in case of bad weather. No partner required! All ages. FREE. 21. The Big Bounce Canada

The largest touring inflatable event in the world. It will tour three Canadian cities starting in Ottawa. One ticket, three hours of fun! Special sessions for toddlers, small kids, big kids and only adults. Tickets: $29, $45 and $55. Spectators can enter the event ground without any fees. There will be food vendors and seating area. 22. Lansdowne Summer Arts Showcase 2023

Every Thursday enjoy a free musical spectacle at Lansdowne Park. This Thursday Julie Corrigan will hit the stage. Some seating available, you can bring your own chair. At dusk, at around 8:30pm, head to the great lawn to enjoy an outdoor movie screening. This Thursday 20: Jumanji.

23. Northern Lights

24. Latin at Lansdowne

Come for latin dance lessons and social dancing. FREE. Every Saturday until August 26. Saturday July 8 from 6-11pm. Aberdeen Plaza, Lansdowne.

25. Relief of the Sentries

Members of the Ceremonial Guard perform daily sentry duties at Rideau Hall. In 2023, the sentries will change every hour from 10am to 5 pm daily from mid-June to late August. Listen for the pipers as they lead the troops down the driveway! FREE. From June 28 to August 25. At Rideau Hall, 1 Sussex Drive.

26. OAG’s Summer Exhibition 2023

Welcome to “83 ‘til infinity” an exhibition about stories and experiences of hip-hop in the Ottawa–Gatineau region. FREE. At the Ottawa Art Gallery, 10 Daly Avenue.

27. Elgin Street Market and free yoga in the park

Elgin Street market on Sundays from July 9 to October 29. FREE. One hour of Yoga in the Park. Classes every Sunday (July 9th to September 3rd) from 10am-11am. Located in Jack Purcell Park (320 Jack Purcell Lane) in Centretown. Bring your own mat.
